Case study / Actor & model

Mark Haldor

A Liverpool portrait series with British actor, filmmaker and model Mark Haldor, using the Georgian Quarter and Hope Street Hotel to create a mix of direct, cinematic and editorial frames.

Build the portrait around the person.

The session needed to show range without turning into a catalogue of poses. Strong architecture, directional light and quieter interior frames gave the series several different moods while keeping the same subject and visual identity.

The resulting work sits naturally between actor headshots and editorial portraiture, which is exactly where my portrait work is strongest.
